Stoke Bishop Open Gardens Trail

This year I have designed the leaflet and passport for the Stoke Bishop Open Gardens Trail. The design is more summery in tone than previous years and reflects the vibrant nature of the gardens on show.

The event takes place on Sunday 29 June from 1pm and there are seven gardens in total on the trail. Passports cost £5.00 per person with children free. This also includes entry to the University of Bristol Botanic Garden and there are guided tours of Sneyd Park Nature Reserve. This event is run by volunteers and all proceeds are in aid of the Botanic Garden and Stoke Bishop hanging baskets. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to see these wonderful gardens!

Kellaway Hire Services Brochure

I have recently designed an A5, 32 page hire guide for Kellaway Hire Services Ltd. Kellaway are a plant and tool hire company based in Redland, Bristol. Following their corporate style the brief was to design an eye catching but clean and concise guide that enabled customers to find products, services and pricing quickly.

The Bishop of Bath & Wells by numbers

Tomorrow the Rt Revd Peter Hancock will be formally installed as Bishop of Bath & Wells at a special service at Wells Cathedral. It’s an event rich in history and takes months of planning. This year I was asked to design an infographic for the occasion with various facts about the Bishop and the event itself. Below is the final design created with a Bishop illustration that was sent out with the press pack this week.

Friends' Newsletter for the University of Bristol Botanic Garden: Summer Issue 2014

I have recently completed the Summer issue of the Friends' Newsletter for the University of Bristol Botanic Garden. This is an A5, 32 page, quarterly publication regularly produced by myself. The latest issue features an introduction from the new chair Pat Davie, an article on the new President of the garden Jekka McVicar and details for the bee and pollination festival in September.

I also helped design the promotional material for this years Jazz in the Garden event on Saturday 19th July. This year the music is provided by The Blue Notes with Hannah Wedlock. Tickets are limited and priced as follows: £10 in advance (£12 at the gate), children free. The event starts at 7pm but there is a tour of the Botanic Garden beforehand at 4.30pm and the bar opens from 6pm. You're encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful surroundings while listening to the music of this popular Bristol Jazz band.

Below are some of the pages from the latest issue.

Acorn Health & Safety Advertisements

I've recently completed a series of advertisements for Acorn Health & Safety that were published in Downend Voice magazine. The designs expanded on already established branding for the company, with the introduction of subtle colour changes to enhance the overall design. These promoted different services provided by the company with client testimonials used throughout as Acorn prides itself on their high level of repeat business from satisfied customers.

Acorn provide training and consultancy in First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety and Manual Handling. Over the last 20 years they have provided health and safety training and development activities to over 17,000 people a year and have served over 350 different organisations around Bristol, the South West and across the UK. They've built their reputation through dedication and commitment to excellence and outstanding customer service.
