Manna: Winter 2015 Issue

I've recently completed work on the Winter 2015 issue of Manna magazine which is now available to view online. Manna is a quarterly, 24 page publication designed by Graphic Bubble for The Diocese of Bath & Wells.

The Winter issue focuses on chaplains. Who are these people? Over 100 of them, paid and unpaid, lay and ordained. In schools and universities, hospitals and hospices, town centres and businesses, industry and armed forces, they are sometimes described as the ‘public face of God’. In this issue Manna explores who they are, what they do, and perhaps most importantly, why they do it.

In the main feature there are stories from the high street in Taunton, police cells in Bridgwater, Academy classrooms and hospital wards in Bath, exploring how God is at work through chaplaincy every minute of every day. The Revd Preb Angela Berners-Wilson, Chaplain at the University of Bath, talks to Manna about offering care, space, support and prayer to around 15,000 students and 2,500 staff in a secular institution in the Interview. There’s a moving tale of how our Street Pastors share love without judgment in ‘All in a night’s work’ and to finish, Canon Ian Ainsworth-Smith reflects on the need of the whole church to ask ‘where are you?’ thoughtfully and prayerfully in Soul Food.

Hypnotherapy Logo Design
for Stephanie Betschart

I have recently designed a new logo and dl flyer for Bristol based Hypnotherapist Stephanie Betschart. The designs for both the logo and flyer are clean, clear and feature a lotus plant to show her spiritual qualities. Stephanie describes Hypnosis as a powerful, yet gentle and safe way to make positive changes in your life. With that in mind, calming blues have been used along with an elegant transparent effect so that the design is in keeping with the nature of her work.

Stephanie works with clients to help them in many ways, such as: Improving confidence and self-esteem, reducing anxiety and stress, overcoming phobias and habits, successful weight control, enhanced creativity and focus. She also specialise in helping with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Smoking Cessation. For more information please view her website here:

Below are the final designs produced for Stephanie.
