Manna: Summer 2015 Issue

The Summer'15 issue of Manna magazine has recently been completed and is now available to view online. Manna is a quarterly, 24 page publication designed by Graphic Bubble for The Diocese of Bath & Wells.

The Summer issue focuses on 'Love for the Future', Editor Helen Hawthorne explains; "The choices we make, and the way we live our lives, define not just what the rest of our life on this incredible planet looks like, but the lives of younger generations into the future. The honesty and determination required of us in our response is brought to life in these pages, from our feature and interview where we meet people who have been motivated to act, to the words of reflection from Elizabeth Oldfield, Director of Theos, and Eco-Bishop Nicholas Holtam in Soul Food. The voices of our youngest generation as they share their hopes and dreams for the future may remain in your mind (and heart) as they echo those of your family or grandchildren. And as a little light relief do enjoy our first ever Manna quiz – just take a look at the prize.

"Love is at the heart of our faith, so love motivates us to act. Love for our planet in its entirety, remembering the words ‘For God so loved the world’. We are all in this together, so as you read and reflect on these articles, and what love for the future means for you, remember the words of Pope Francis in his encyclical and let your spirits lift: “Let us sing as we go. May our struggles and our concern for this planet never take away the joy of our hope.”
